Install (quick steps)

- Close Excel.
- Run the downloaded installer and follow prompts. If prompted, allow installation of .NET/VS Tools runtime.

Prepare your data
- Arrange rows where each record has X, Y, Z coordinates plus up to two extra dimensions (e.g., bubble size and color/category).
- Include a header row naming each column.
Create a 3D bubble or scatter plot
- Select the data range including headers.
- Find the 5dchart ribbon/tab or the 5dchart toolbar in Excel and choose the chart type (3D bubble or 3D scatter).
- In the add-in dialog, map columns to axes: X, Y, Z, Size (optional), Color/Category (optional).
- Adjust visualization settings: perspective, scale, axis appearance, bubble transparency, projection lines.
- Click Create/Draw to insert the chart into the worksheet.
Customize and export
- Use the add-in’s settings to change rotation, lighting, axis panes, color palette, and marker styles.
- Save high-resolution images if available (evaluation copies may watermark/export limits).
- Use Excel’s native chart area to resize or move the chart.
Troubleshooting
- If Excel hangs or the add-in is missing: ensure .NET Framework 4.5 and VS Tools for Office Runtime are installed and Excel was restarted.
- If installer blocked: run as Administrator or unblock the file (right-click > Properties > Unblock).
- If evaluation limitations (watermark or export disabled): purchase a license from the vendor.
Notes
- Feature set and exact menu names may vary by version; consult the vendor site or included documentation for version-specific instructions.
